Hey Peeps,

I'm back.

Its been a while since I talked to you smartees.
That day many of you rushed off for your CCA. I only managed to pulled back less than half the class to snap a photo with. Man am I disappointed. But it's okay, I know many of you have commitments.

Just in case some of you don't know, I'm taking a course called Chinese Studies in NUS, a course that will last me for 4 years before I graduate. Its basically a subject where I study deep into Chinese philosophy, history and literature. And then after graduating, I'll be going to National Institute of Education (NIE), where all your teachers are trained. And aabrakedarebra! A new Chinese teacher will be borned again. Surprising? I bet many of you feel so, but I've yet to share with you ideas in Mandarin. Science is easy, that's why I like it. Chinese? Its deep, that's why I love it.

CA 1 is coming, take up your notes, refresh your memory. Your little brains need lots of recalling. And yes don't give yourself trouble by giving your dear Mr Tan trouble. The state that your class was in the other time I sneaked in to observe during your lab lesson was horrible. No control over your noise level, lots of degressing, many are not focused. Remember, learning is your responsibility. Your teacher's responsibility is to facilitate, not to tell you what to do EVERYTIME anymore. Maybe that kind of teaching style existed, but what your generation need is not that, but more initiative and lots of exploring. Be disciplined enough to differentiate what to do at what time please!

Hopefully I will be able to pop by during your Teachers' Day Celebration. To see what stuff you smartees have for your teachers.

Lastly, learn to accept each other. 'cos this is the one and only class 1/2 I enjoy teaching!

here's an insight into the sacred land

1. main features
it doesn't look much different from the lab u always use!
some schools might have this "shower tap" for cleansing in case of contamination

2. rules and regulation
no text for me to refer
but if u want me to give from my mouth
a. don't drink the chemicals
b. avoid having direct contact with ANY chemical
c. take precaution when heating. Some chemicals have vigorous reaction upon heating.
d. handle test tube with care. Glassware = fragile = potential problem.
e. organise your table everytime you conduct experiments. Its is very confusing to have chemicals all over your table.

3. chemicals available
there are too many to list
but there are fixed ones which you will use many many many times for your identification test
a. hydrochloric acid
b. nitric acid
c. sulphuric acid
d. potassium hydroxide
e. calcium hydroxide
f. sodium hydroxide
g. potassium iodide
h. potassium manganate(VI)
i. potassium dichromate(VII)
j. litmus paper

4. special features
not that i know of
like i said, its very much similar to the rest

this might be a little late, but here's my opinion

let's make it clear one thing
we all know we have raging hormones at age 13-16
with it comes fluctuating emotions
and that gives u difficult situation
so it's a 3 in 1 package

do realise 1 thing
that guy is facing a problem within too
he's feeling lousy that someone he likes doesn't recipocate
its the same feeling as spending a lot of effort on a project but failure
just that this time round its got feeling of immense passion we call love
of cos when someone doesn't know how to express his frustration
he'll resort to rejection
n that is happening to you
but fear not
feelings are really all but momentary state of mind
n that he has to deal with it
slowly, with time
if he doesn't learn fast enough
u gotta let him know this is growing up
n that you treasure the friendship
and that just becos of ALL you people's instantaneous emotions getting mixed up for that moment
doesn't mean you peeps should shun each other
in fact, offer each other this chance
to grow up, to grow out of it

sounds difficult to act huh
u just need to sit down tog n talk
trust me
nothing is more moving than emotional sharing
its just a matter of who starts it first
i'm sure he treasure your friendship very much
n it's time to get rational not emotional

we young ones need to realise that facing difficult situation
is an opportunity to mature
and we need each other's support

all in all
let him know u r with him instead of against him
and let each other know your feelings and views

Well i really do enjoy teaching your class
That's y i bother setting up this blog
So hopefully we can keep in touch even after i leave

But the long future aside,
Me here is going for my riding test next monday.
Hopefully i pass, then can take a motorbike to school
No need sleep on the bus or wait at the bus stop everyday
